Saturday, June 22nd at the beautiful Andrews Farm in Emporium.
✨All proceeds will benefit the Cameron County Ambulance Association, CCOYA, and our own scholarship fund.
✨Tickets are on sale currently from these SHC members - Michelle Clark, Chrissy Slusarick, Dick Lewis, Rowan Crisp, Barb Grimone, Kathy DeSio, or Karen Jiang.

Emporium Rotarians Assist with Roadside Litter Pickup
On Saturday May 4th, the Emporium Rotary Club held its biannual litter pickup day.
With Rotarian Ken Straub coordinating the event, Rotarians John Rosenberger, Dennis Neal, Marsha Hendrickson, Marilyn Erickson, Gary Boden, and Bonnie Smith cleaned the assigned local highway in Cameron County.
Emporium Rotary Club Donates to Endless Mountains Methodist Church
The Emporium Rotary Club aided in the cost of a newly installed chairlift at the Endless Mountains Methodist Church here in Cameron County. Presenting the donation to Dr. Rev. Andrew Spore of the Endless Mountains Methodist Church is current president Rotarian John Rosenberger.

Rotarian host John Kautz, presented Susan Hoy as this week's speaker.
Susan is the 'executor of facts' of the Cameron County Historical Society and the Little Museum in Sterling Run, Pa. Susan has been with the museum for many years researching and finding information pertaining to the history of Cameron County. Allen R Baker
Allen R Baker, 74, of Emporium, PA passed away, following a lengthy illness, at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA on Monday afternoon (May 6, 2024) with his loving wife by his side. He was born July 23, 1949 in Waynesburg, Ohio a son of the late Clair and Frances Dennis Baker.
Allen was married in Emporium to Darlene Housler, who survives.
He graduated from Cameron County High School and then served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Alltel where he worked for many years before he retired in 2004. He enjoyed Golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Darlene and a brother, Dennis Baker (Mary), Austin; several nieces and nephew including, David Herbstritt, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Herbstritt and William Baker and a sister, Dorothy Jean Baker in infancy.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at the Free Methodist Church, 240 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (June 1, 2024) at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mary Ann Hockey, officiating. A Military Service will follow and will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
Burial will be in the Moore Hill Cemetery, Emporium, PA
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 108-R North Second St., Clearfield, PA 16830.

A benefit for the Major Thomas E. Clark Scholarship fund will be held on Friday, May 24th at Rich Valley Wines from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. We plan to have a 50-50 raffle and a silent auction. The annual EHS\CCHS Alumni Banquet to honor the CCHS class of 2024 and the 50-year class of 1974, will be held on Saturday, May 25th at the Emporium Vets Club.
Social hour will begin at 5:00 pm following the invocation,
Pledge of Allegiance and a brief message from the Alumni President, the buffet dinner will take place.
Cost is $25 per person and a copy of the reservation form will be in the Echo in the near future and here on this FB site. Two local businesses, the Emporium Food Mart and Ace hardware have given permission to park in their lots that day. They ask that Alumni attendees do not park directly in front of the stores.
Additional parking is also available at the Moose parking lot if needed.
